Structure of the Services
While each service is unique in style of worship, the overall structure of the services is uniform. We begin with gathering music and an apostolic greeting, followed by an opening hymn or praise song. Then next section of the service involves a time for Joys and Concerns, where the congregation is invited to ask for prayers or give thanks for events in their lives, after which the congregation prays for these things and finish with the Lord’s Prayer. A member of the congregation reads two selections from the Bible, with a performance of Special Music in between. Pastor Jim then discusses the meaning of the biblical passages chosen for the day in the context of how we live our lives now. The congregation responds with a hymn or praise song, followed by the gathering of gifts. Communion is offered every week at 10:30 service and on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday at the 8:30 service, and would be given at this time. Communion is open to all people of any religion, creed, and age. The service ends with a final hymn or praise song.
