Join us for a video, light refreshments and an informal discussion led by Charmaine Prewitt The video features a screening of the lighthearted, award-winning South African short film “Kanyekanye.” The film follows the romance of a young man and woman who live in an imaginary town divided by a disagreement about what color apple is best.

“Overcoming Childhood Pain: Facing unresolved family issues” is the topic for this month’s LifeTree Cafe. The program features the filmed story of Delisa Mayer, whose family took part in an ill-fated university study during Mayer’s childhood. The outcome of that study—to introduce a newborn chimpanzee into the family and raise it as a human child—shaped Mayer’s childhood and led to her parents’ divorce.
