“I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun!” (Isaiah 43:19 NLT)

Housecleaning. With the warm weather, it’s time to shake out the dust, open the windows, and let the breeze blow through and freshen things up. What’s good for the home is also good for our church!

Fresh wind. Opportunities. God is doing so many new things at Mosinee UMC, it’s hard for me to know where to start.

Worship is one new thing this summer. I know that some folks get nervous when we mess with “their” service. But the purpose of worship is to praise God, and our preference for a certain style of music takes second place. Come with an open mind… you’ll be surprised and blessed!

Another new thing is the missions trips being planned. Whether you can spare a day or two for local missions around Wausau in July, or take a week for a Milwaukee trip with me in August, or are excited about going to Guatemala November 2015, opportunities abound. We will hold an info meeting about mission trips Wednesday, July 2 at 7:30pm.

Yet another new thing – I am leading a six-session discipleship study over the summer on Mike Slaughter’s book, Dare to Dream. This thin workbook is designed to help each person find the specific God-calling in their life and chase it with gusto!

Pentecost is when the church throws the windows open, and the breeze of the Holy Spirit blows the dust out. See what new things God is doing in your life, and in the life of the church!

Grace and peace,
Pastor Park
