Praying for the Spirit's inspiration“‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below – but everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” (Acts 2:17,19,21)

Mosinee UMC is often called a “Spirit-filled church,” both by our members and by others who see how we worship and what we do. When the apostle Peter preached to the people who would become the first Christians at Pentecost, he quoted the words of the prophet Joel (above). The Spirit that was poured out upon them is the Spirit that guides us as well!

What are your dreams and visions for Mosinee United Methodist Church? Where is God calling us to go next?

To continue as a strong church, committed to Christ and to building the Kingdom of God, we need to pause and let ourselves dream and vision. You are invited to join our church leaders at a Vision Retreat Saturday, October 6.

We are still settling the details of the retreat, but it will be free, will include inspirational worship, and a free lunch. Wisconsin Conference Director of Circuit Ministries Don Greer will help lead the day. Our goal is to simplify and update our church’s Ministry Plan, which will help guide us for the next few years. For more information, contact Pastor Park (715-551-2041 or pastor@mosineeumc.org). The old plan can be downloaded from the Resources page of our website.
